Description

This course provides participants the theory and experience they will need in order to transform a traditional face-to-face course into a course that utilizes Internet technologies to replace part of the traditional learning activities. Because the degree to which traditional activities can be replaced is extremely variable, and the types of Internet technologies that can be incorporated into a course is also variable, hybrid/blended courses can take on many different appearances, depending on the subject taught, and the degree of comfort with technology of the instructor. This course provides instructors an introduction to learning theory, experience using technologies they might adopt in their own courses, and experience redesigning part of a course that could be offered in a hybrid format.
