Dan Balzer joined the IMSA 21CIF Team in November 2004. Dan has spent the last 15 years teaching, training and exploring the nuances of designing engaging learning events. He has an MA in Adult Education and has worked in K-12, higher education, corporate and non-profit environments including a three year assignment teaching in Chad, Central Africa.
Prior to coming to IMSA, Dan worked for three years as an Instructional Designer developing and delivering workshops for online faculty in the community college system of Illinois. The workshops covered a wide range of topics such as accelerated learning, effective use of electronic publisher resources, and adapting face-to-face courses for the online environment. He has worked extensively in implementing scenario-based approaches in online teaching and learning.

 Mr. Dennis O'Connor IMSA San Marocs, CA United States Bio:
Dennis joined the IMSA 21st Century Information Fluency team in July, 2002. He worked in public schools for 26 years. During that time he taught grades 4 - 8, and served as a District Technology Coordinator, Language Arts Coordinator, Teacher Trainer, and computer industry technical writer. In 1995, Dennis was recognized by the Milken Family Foundation as an outstanding National Educator for his work in technology integration with language arts and science. While working as a project writer on for ISTE, Dennis was inspired to earn a specialized Masters Degree IN Online Teaching AND Learning.He IS currently working ON a second Masters Degree in Technology and Learning.
During the past four years he has taught over 30 different online courses for K-16 educators from all around the world. He has designed and teaches online classes in Technology Integration, Multicultural Education, and Writing Assessment for the University of Northern Iowa. Dennis also teaches prospective teachers in the Online Teaching and Learning graduate program at Cal-State Hayward.
